Hey there,

A Student's Perspective is a blog created by myself (Joseph Badaan) and is based around my interest in the social movement #BlackLivesMatter. This movement has grown with great force since its conception largely due to the incredible power the public now has in this world. Such a movement would not have been possible a decade ago.

Through such media as FB, Twitter and YouTube, campaigns like BLM can utilize media technologies to reach the larger audience and build a social powerhouse to bring issues to light. The BLM movement is a grassroots campaign in that it began in local communities and spread rapidly and internationally.

We hope, as authors of this blog, to give an unbiased view on the BLM movement whilst also showcasing how such a movement grew exponentially in this information and digital age.
